1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing the Site, downloading a free pattern, or purchasing a product, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order. If you are using the Site on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business.

2. Who may use the Site

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order. By purchasing, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method you supply.

3. Our products

We offer two types of products:

• Digital products — crochet patterns delivered electronically as instant-download PDF files.
• Physical products — handmade and crochet-related physical items that are shipped to you.

We try to describe and picture our products accurately, but colours, sizes, and handmade details may vary slightly from what appears on your screen. Product photos are illustrative, and small variations in handmade items are a normal part of their character, not a defect.

4. Orders, pricing & payment

All prices are shown on the Site and are payable in the currency indicated at checkout. We process payments through PayPal; by paying, you agree to PayPal's terms in addition to ours. We do not store your full card or bank details.

Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline it, and we may cancel or refuse an order — for example, if a product is unavailable, a price is listed in error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the amount you paid for it. Taxes and shipping, where applicable, are shown before you complete your purchase.

5. Digital products & downloads

After your payment is confirmed, you will receive access to download your PDF pattern (for example, via a download link and/or a copy sent to your email). Please make sure your email address is correct, and keep your own backup of downloaded files.

• Digital patterns are delivered electronically; nothing physical is shipped for a digital-only order.
• You are responsible for having a device and software capable of opening standard PDF files.
• Access to a download is provided for your personal use under the license in Section 6.

6. Pattern license & permitted use

When you buy or download one of our patterns (free or paid), you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it. We (or our licensors) retain all copyright and ownership in the pattern itself. Under this license:

You may

• Download and print the pattern for your own personal use;
• Make finished items from the pattern by hand, for yourself or as gifts;
• Sell the finished items you make from the pattern — in any quantity and wherever you like, with no obligation to credit Stitch Habits (though a credit as the pattern designer is always appreciated).

You may not

• Copy, share, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the pattern file itself, in whole or in part, whether free or for payment;
• Republish the pattern text, photos, or instructions (including on blogs, social media, or file-sharing sites) as your own;
• Claim the pattern or its design as your own, or remove any copyright notices; or
• Use the pattern or our content to train, or as input to, any machine-learning or AI system.

If you'd like to use a pattern beyond this license (for example, in a class, kit, or publication), contact us at support@stitchhabits.com to discuss permission.

7. Physical products & shipping

For physical items, we ship to the address you provide at checkout. Delivery times and costs are estimates shown before purchase and may vary due to carrier delays, customs, or other factors outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees that may apply to international orders. Please double-check your shipping address, as we are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address you provided.

8. Returns, refunds & cancellations

Digital products

Because digital patterns are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable once the download has been made available to you, except where a refund is required by law. If you experience a technical problem downloading or opening a file, contact us and we will help resolve it.

Physical products

You may request a return of an unused physical item in its original condition within 14 days of delivery. To start a return, contact us at support@stitchhabits.com. Unless an item is faulty or not as described, you are responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds are issued to your original payment method once we receive and inspect the returned item. Certain items (such as custom or made-to-order pieces) may not be eligible for return.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer, including any cooling-off or refund rights under applicable law.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including patterns, text, tutorials, photos, graphics, logos, and the Stitch Habits name and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited pattern license in Section 6 and normal browsing of the Site, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

10. Free patterns & tutorials

We offer free patterns and tutorials to help you learn. They are provided for your personal, non-commercial use and are subject to the same license terms and restrictions as our paid patterns (Section 6). Free content is provided “as is,” and we may change or remove it at any time.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, other users' accounts, or our systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by introducing malware or overloading our infrastructure;
• Scrape, harvest, or copy content except as expressly permitted; or
• Infringe our intellectual property or the rights of others.

12. Disclaimers

The Site and our products, including patterns and tutorials, are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Crochet results depend on your yarn, hook, tension, and skill, so we cannot guarantee that your finished item will match the photos or measurements shown. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stitch Habits will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or products. Where we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stitch Habits and our team from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site or our patterns, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Third-party links & services

The Site may link to or rely on third-party services (such as PayPal for payments). We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third parties, and your use of their services is governed by their own terms and policies.

16. Changes to these terms and our products

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Site or placing a new order means you accept the updated Terms. We may also change, add, or discontinue products and features at any time.

17. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise. We encourage you to contact us first at support@stitchhabits.com so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
